Dr Oliver looked after our family for many years, he is caring, efficient and has time for all. His fast reacting and efficiency saved my Dad's life when other health workers had let him down. He helped me through my diagnosis of ME and was honest and brilliant. If you read this Dr O I have cured myself of ME, only took 30 years eh! You're a credit to the planet.
My husband, son and myself have been patients of Dr Oliver since he started practicing in Uckfield 17 years ago. He is a professional, caring and very understanding person. He always takes time and never hurries a consultation. I trust him implicitly as do the rest of my family and have always felt confident with the treatment we have received. He is a very rare breed these days and we feel very fortunate to have him as our family doctor.
It has been my very good fortune to have had Dr Jim Oliver as my GP for the last seventeen years. He is the most kind, caring and compassionate doctor I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He always listens to all you have to say, however many patients he has in the surgery behind you, he never rushes you, he never clock watches, he never has his pen poised over a prescription pad. He will follow through investigations and ring you personally with the results if he knows you are worried. You can tell or ask him absolutely anything in total confidence, in the knowledge that he will never betray that confidence and will help you feel at ease about anything embarrassing. He works far harder than any of the other doctors at the Meads, both in the surgery and at the local hospital, performing minor surgery. This man is a saint and the community are truly fortunate to have him. I would back him for an MBE without hesitation.
Dr Jim Oliver is quite simply an exceptional doctor and tremendous asset to the local community. He has given a wonderfully high level of care to me and my family for the 17 years he has practiced in Uckfield. He's kind and easy to talk to; he listens, he cares and he frequently goes well out of his way to help people in trouble.
There are gp's and then there are GP's Dr Oliver is definately the latter. He has been my gp for the last 17 years and has seen me and my family thru some truly horrible times. He always gives as much time as is required to talk through things, you never feel rushed and all his patients appreciate that if there is a long wait to see him it is because someone is in genuine need. The work that this man puts into our community is tremendous and he deserves a medal.
